The March (24/3/2007) BYAV election in Noble Park created a major controversy on wether our intentions are going to be fulfil or not. This is the time I had to promise members of the youth in Victoria that, the idea behind the newly elected office of Bor Youth Association of Victoria is to represent your views and make them attractive and innovative. The team which is currently involved in new BYAV is capable to stand and implement any decision planned by the assembly. The BYAV executive members are volunteers of the community and wish to get a possible collaboration from you as we go.
We are always mindful of the differences in individuals and on a culture of tolerance, the BYAV management believed that there are certain fundamental relationships and ways of offering assistance that are universally acceptable. If the youth of the Bor are made responsive of the open and global interdependence of all humans and each individual's responsibility to work for the common good, they will come to comprehend the suggestion of the “Unity & Strength" and therefore be encouraged to work to improve the condition of society. The BYAV can provide not only the means for individual fulfilments, but also an example of how individuals, through cooperation, can take up the powers of organization to more efficiently perform to help.
The BYAV is making a turning point to develop a strategy of making youth to focus on issues that make them part and parcel of the community. It is not by chance that through the active members of BYAV, many required objectives, aims, missions, Vision and the guiding principles of the organization will be respected, honoured and abide with as per the accomplishment of translating words into action of development.
The BYAV being a young organization within the diverse country will focus on the developmental issues in Victoria and extending its services to the international level on the humanitarian assistance to Bor in Southern Sudan as the level of fund availability will determine. The management of BYAV under my leadership will try all that it can with the influence of our cooperation and our concern members that wish to see the organization achieving its objectives. I will also wish to extend my request across the world of Good Samaritans to join us as we develop the strategy of making this organization more attractive and innovative to the Youth wellbeing.
Bor Youth Association was formed under the influence of making the most disadvantaged youth to gain the standard of being productive to communities that they serve in. Many of these members have been living in exile through out horrible life in the countries of refuge were cultural influences were not familiar. These had caused a lot of muddles in which steps can still be rectified when youth turn around to understand the standard of being the backbone of the emerging communities. I pledged to all members, friends of the Association and the (donors to be) to stand up to give us the diligent support behind us as we make the line of development open.
The BYAV being and part of the diverse Victoria and will join to advocate for the youth welfare internationally especially turning support to Southern Sudan where youth are recovering from the effect of war. Discouraging traumatisation caused by any influence will be a key target, that BYAV will put all the required efforts as per the availability of funds. Your contribution as member and friend will keep us on the track of achieving our objectives. Bringing Youth together will be more efficient thing to deal with throughout.
Bor Youth have got very vital cultural dances that can be more resourceful in promoting economical growth in Victoria and Australia. Southern Sudan had been a country which was in war for over 22 years that forced many children to flee for refuge at the minor ages where the name “lost boys” was created, these children grew to the age of youth but bad enough big number of them lost their parents, making them to the point of being children with no parental care. The BYAV management will focus in developing the right strategy to create the breakthrough through the cooperation of Youth.
I also called upon any member who had the developmental mentality to give his talent inorder for us to acheive something for the better community.
We will be happy to see you enjoying our services.
Thanks
David Ajak Deng Chiengkou
President of Bor Youth Association of Victoria
